Your Interior heat or not to heat?

You have decided what van you would like, which base vehicle suits your needs or sometimes more importantly your budget. The campervan of your dreams is not in stock, but Calder Campers are sourcing that perfect van for you, now all you must do is choose the internal colour scheme and features.

This is where things really get tricky, the long discussions start, and the endless pictures of campervan interiors fill those evenings at home.

As I write this there is snow on the ground outside so let's start with what you might want in the van and the first discussion is heating. All the UK built vans we supply, Volkswagens, Renault Trafic, Vauxhall Vivaro etc, come with heating as standard in the conversion. This will be either a Propex gas heating system or in some cases a Webasto diesel heater. If are likely to do most of your campervanning on a campsite you may also with to take a fan heater which you can plug in and make use of the site's electrical supply that you are paying for anyway.

If your vehicle of choice is a Japanese van such as the Mazda Bongo, Toyota Alphard or the Nissan Elgrand then we offer the heating as an optional extra, so as above if you are likely to be using campsites or only using your van in fairer conditions then you may choose to leave the heating and use site electricity and a fan heater.

Now you know your toes will be warm in the morning you can turn focus the design aspect of your interior. The main choices you will have to make are the colour of your unit fronts and underbed storage, the worktop and table colour, in some cases the accent colour of the splashback and of course the material and colours of the seating and bed.

Calder Campers has over 50 wood finishes to chooose from from textured to smooth and from matt to gloss in all the colours you can imagine. You can view a small selection of the choices in our gallery, feel free to browse all the brands to see the wide range of colours.

Once you have chosen all the colours that will make the van YOUR campervan you can decide if you want a grill, microwave or additional extras such as led lights, bike rack, towbars etc.

Whatever designs you have for your dream campervan Calder Campers is here to make it happen, feel free to call us to discuss getting the van rolling!
